The day you become greedy, and wish to get "lucky", is the point you lose all of your money. Seems a bit strange, but it appears to be true. It seems the only time I ever amass money is when I do not care about blowing it. I went to the the casino the other evening with $20. I could not care any less about blowing it, who cares about $20? So guess what happened? I ended up leaving with $120 in profit in just a few hours!
Another time I was at the casino with my friend Steve. I took in $100 that I could not afford to squander. I got gluttonous, I got scared, and I ended up wagering too much and squandered it in thirty minutes! The lesson is don’t ever bet anymore than you can stand to lose. If you do not worry about squandering, you have a greater chance of winning big!
How else can you build up your chances of profiting at Roulette besides setting a budget? Never wager on individual numbers! Sure, they come up every once in a while, but they don’t hit enough to guarantee a constant profit. Only wager on 1:1 wagers e.g. red, black, even, odd, 1-18, and 19-36, and 2:1 bets like first 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12, etc Bet on odds that pay out pretty high.
With the basics reviewed, how else can we further boost our chances of winning at Roulette? By turning probability into our buddy, as opposed to our mortal enemy. "You can’t succeed at Roulette", my friend Chris would say to me. "It’s absolutely arbitrary because any number might come up". Absolutely, my buddy Jeff has a point, but at the same time, he is missing a significant part of the picture. I totally agree, black or red might come up 30 times in a row, but how often does that happen?
